No Soda November 2026
No Soda November: start together on Sunday, November 1
November has 30 days. So does the QuitSoda challenge. Join before Saturday, October 31, and you start with everyone else: Welcome that evening, Day 1 on Sunday, November 1, and Day 30 on Monday, November 30.
How the November 1 group start works
- Now through Saturday, October 31: sign up with your email. You get a short “you're in” note right away confirming your spot.
- Saturday, October 31 (evening, Pacific): the Welcome email arrives. You choose to cut back gradually or pick a quit date.
- Sunday, November 1 (morning, Pacific): Day 1 lands. One short email a day after that, each with one action.
- Monday, November 30: Day 30. You finish with a plan you can keep using.
Join after the October 31 hold and you skip the wait: Welcome and Day 1 start right away. You still get all 30 days, counted from the day you sign up.

What counts as soda this month
- Counts: regular, diet or zero, and prebiotic soda, plus any drink with added sugar or sweetener.
- On-plan: unsweetened water, plain unsweetened sparkling, and unsweetened tea and coffee.
- Citrus: a squeeze of fresh citrus at home is fine.
This is a tracking rule for the challenge, not a claim that every drink has the same health effects. The full breakdown is on sparkling water vs soda.
Why a named month helps
“I’ll quit soon” has no start date. No Soda November does. Think Dry January, but for soda.
- A fixed start: November 1 is on the calendar, so you can plan for it.
- A fixed finish: 30 days is long enough to practice new routines and short enough to commit to.
- Easy to explain: “I’m doing No Soda November” is one sentence. Friends and coworkers get it.
- Same day as everyone else: the daily emails line up with the calendar for everyone in the November group.
The name isn’t ours. Schools, workplace wellness programs, and at least one county health department have run No Soda November challenges. QuitSoda adds the daily plan.

Get ready before November 1
- Notice your soda moments: for a few days, jot down when you reach for one, where you are, and what just happened.
- Stock the swap: put plain sparkling, a water bottle, or tea where the soda usually sits.
- Decide about caffeine: if your soda has caffeine, you can keep caffeine in coffee or tea. Quitting soda and cutting caffeine are separate decisions.
- Tell one person: pick someone who will ask how it is going.
The printable worksheet has space for soda moments, times, and swaps. For the full plan, read how to quit soda.

Frequently asked questions
What if I find this after October 31?
Join anyway. You skip the hold. Welcome and Day 1 start right away, then one email a day for 30 days from your signup date.
Does diet or zero soda count?
Yes. Regular, diet or zero, and prebiotic soda all count, plus any drink with added sugar or sweetener. See how to quit diet soda if that is your main habit.
Do I have to quit all at once on November 1?
No. In setup you choose gradual reduction or a quit date. Both work inside the 30 days.
Does it cost anything? Do I need to buy anything?
No. The welcome email and all 30 daily emails cost nothing, and buying anything is never required.
Is this medical advice?
No. QuitSoda is habit support from Patrick for adults, not medical care. If caffeine, pregnancy, medicines, or a health condition affect your plan, get individual advice from your clinician.
